Cameras, lenses, and lighting were part of life around my household. My father was an industrial photographer for Stanford Research Institute and my mom was the family historian. My mom loved to video my family with her 8mm camera, shoot slides, play around with infrared and black & white film while her children were her subjects. My dad on the other hand, when at home, tried to regularly corral four kids for family portraits and realized how he appreciated photographing non-moving objects more.
My passion for photography started in junior high when I took a photography class that opened my creative eyes to what my parents had seen all along. I have been photographing lifestyle and people for years, but in 2012, I started shooting remodeled houses. That was a segue way into real estate and commercial photography and I haven’t looked back since.
